Mercados Eficientes
Los mercados son eficientes, ese es un axioma de todos los economistas en general, ahora que ocurre cuando los actores de los mercados quienre ser mas eficientes? automatizan, y, como son eficientes bajan costos de pruebas, de documentacion, de un sin fin de cosas que los expertos dicen que hagas antes de poenr en produccion, pero no, eso es burocracia.

We all know something went horribly wrong in various NYSE-traded stocks today between 9:30 am and 10:15 am. So wrong in fact that the NYSE had to step in and cancel numerous trades in 6 symbols. However it did not DK millions of other trades in 134 other symbols, the vast majority of which we assume traded errantly due to the market making of Knight Capital (as admitted by the company), which today saw its biggest drop ever since going public on volume about 60 times greater than its average. We also all know that one should buy low and sell high. At least that is what human traders are taught, and that is what they attempt. Because if one consistently does the opposite, one will simply run out of money. Well, the opposite is precisely what the berserk algo in Knight's Market Making group may have done if Nanex, which has done a forensic analysis of one of the trades in question, is correct. In other words, instead of at least attempting to provide liquidity via limit trades, Knight's algorithm acted as a market order... gone horribly wrong. As the third chart below shows what the algo did with furious repetition and steadfast consistency was to buy at the offer, and sell at the bid, in other words buy high and sell low. Over and over and over and over. As Nanex laconically notes, "In the case of EXC, that means losing about 15 cents on every pair of trades. Do that 40 times a second, 2400 times a minute, and you now have a system that's very efficient at burning money." Which also means that by not DK'ing several hundred million prints, the NYSE may have just thrown Knight under the bus, because the market maker is suddenly on the hook for tens if not hundreds of millions in inverse market making profits.

Inglaterra y las cometas
No, no las de papel, hasta hace poco, como en varios lugares, las comentas que pagaban para engrasar negocios era deducibles de impuestos, y bueno, business are business, pero el primer parrafo con la doble moral es imperdible,

Inviting Bertie from your major customer to Henley or the Derby, or waving Cup Final and Olympic tickets in his face was entirely acceptable. Slipping him £500 for an order was bribery and both illegal and immoral.
But what you did abroad was an entirely different matter: bribery was until very recently tax deductible.
The Bribery Act has rather changed this. There's still considerable
confusion as to whether, if Bertie is a public servant, you can actually
take him on corporate away-days worth thousands. You can most certainly
buy him a pint and have no problems, but as with so many new laws this
has been written so loosely that many are still a little unsure of where
the boundary lies.
Those people selling expensive corporate Olympics packages have complained that this very uncertainty has led to a large fall in demand. If a few thousand quid to take a favoured customer to the, say, men's 100 metres finals can be looked upon as a bribe then who is going to risk jail for that?
Given that we are in the opening stages of the season for corporate jollies it probably is worth having a discreet word with a lawyer who knows - just to be on the safe side.
This is of course very different from the system of old. Which was, essentially, that soft soaping someone with experiences and days out was just absolutely fine while any mention at all of cash was not just legally but also socially verboten.
At home, in Britain, that was. Having worked in some pretty odd and even rough places I've done my share of bribing people, but even so I would be profoundly shocked if I was asked for a bung in Blighty. But the system also most definitely facilitated the payment of bribes to Johnny Foreigner.

Nokia fue un ejemplo de muchos, de maderera a fabricante de celulares, etc el libre mercado etc.pero, el libre mercado se la deglutio, mal, bien, cada uno tendra su opinion, eso si a algunos finlandeses mucho no les gusta.

Most of the employees walking out of the main gate of the factory refused to say anything to journalists standing there with microphones extended.
In the afternoon, engineer Jani Tuomela rode out of the main gate on his bicycle.
“It is unfortunate that Nokia is leaving Salo. It is here that the first telephones were assembled.”
Tuomela, who has worked in product development since 2003, does not make any predictions on what will happen to R&D. However, he is optimistic about his own future.
“There will always be work for people who do things.”
Leskelä says that it now seems that all 1,800 product development employees will keep their jobs in Salo. However, the job cuts that have been announced are set to raise unemployment in Salo to about 20 per cent.
Project worker Pirjo Batalha is not bitter as she walks into the factory area.
“I have been at work here for more than 20 years and I have always been loyal and grateful for my job.”
“This isn’t Nokia’s fault – it’s about the situation on the world market. It could just as well have been any other company”, Batalha says.

Efecto Dunning-Kruger
El fenómeno fue demostrado en una serie de experimentos realizados por Justin Kruger y David Dunning, de la Universidad de Cornell (Nueva York, EE. UU.). Sus resultados fueron publicados en el Journal of Personality and Social Psychology de diciembre de 1999.1
Kruger y Dunning investigaron cierto número de estudios previos que tendían a sugerir que en diversas habilidades como la comprensión lectora, conducción de vehículos de motor, y juegos como el ajedrez o el tenis, “la ignorancia frecuentemente proporciona más confianza que el conocimiento” (como dijo Charles Darwin). Su hipótesis es que, en una habilidad típica que los humanos poseen en mayor o menor grado,
- Los individuos incompetentes tienden a sobreestimar su propia habilidad.
- Los individuos incompetentes son incapaces de reconocer la habilidad de otros.
- Los individuos incompetentes son incapaces de reconocer su extrema insuficiencia.
- Si pueden ser entrenados para mejorar sustancialmente su propio nivel de habilidad, estos individuos pueden reconocer y aceptar su falta de habilidades previa.
